On December 1st, MAINCODE participated in the seminar “Heating Islands and Urban Water: Challenges in the Cities”, contributing to discussions on mitigation and adaptation strategies for urban climate resilience. MAINCODE delivered two presentations: “Climate Shelters as Adaptive Strategies for Urban Heat: A European Review” and “When Climate Meets Inequality: Mapping Heat-related Vulnerabilities.” The event formed part of the Seminar Series of the MSc in Architecture for Sustainability at Politecnico di Torino.
MAINCODE has been funded by the Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca (MUR), the Innovation Fund of Denmark (IFD), and General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI) under the Driving Urban Transitions Partnership which has been co-funded by the European Commission.
