MAINCODE Co-Design Workshop with the Children of Carlo Levi Primary School in Turin

On the 17th of April, the first co-design workshop with the students of Carlo Levi Primary School takes place as part of the MAINCODE project. During the workshop, the students explore and measure the schoolyard, observe and learn about the natural materials present within the space, and are introduced to the key elements of urban climate shelters in schoolyards. The workshop also presents a series of before-and-after photographs showcasing international examples of climate shelters in schoolyards. Through these examples, students gain a deeper understanding of how outdoor learning environments can be transformed into more sustainable, inclusive, and climate-resilient spaces. The activities are carried out in groups, encouraging collaboration, active participation, observation, and creative thinking. The workshops continue in the coming weeks as part of the ongoing co-design process.
