From 27–29 May 2026, MAINCODE participates in the Cities Mission Conference in Turin. As part of the conference programme, MAINCODE hosts the workshop “City Dives 13 – Climate Shelter for Adaptation to Climate Change” in collaboration with Urban Lab Torino and Politecnico di Torino. The workshop brings together representatives from Europe’s 100 climate-neutral cities to play the Mission Climate Shelter game and participate in a mapping exercise based on the Turin pilot project. Divided into stakeholder groups, participants explore different perspectives and co-design solutions for planning and implementing climate shelters in schoolyards as urban climate adaptation measures.
MAINCODE has been funded by the Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca (MUR), the Innovation Fund of Denmark (IFD), and General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI) under the Driving Urban Transitions Partnership which has been co-funded by the European Commission. MAINCODE runs from 2025 to 2027
