MAINCODE contributes to the new DUT Knowledge Hub brief, Strategies for Increased Social Justice in Urban Planning and Local Governance, which presents ten practical recommendations for public authorities and developers to foster more inclusive and collaborative urban governance. Developed through the joint efforts of seven DUT projects, the brief promotes governance approaches that move beyond traditional participation towards shared decision-making. MAINCODE brings insights from its work on urban climate shelters in schoolyards, highlighting the value of co-design, stakeholder engagement, and community-led climate adaptation in creating more resilient and socially just cities.
