On the 25th of April 2026, MAINCODE participates in Earth Day Turin 2026 with the interactive game “Mission Climate Shelter”, developed by Politecnico di Torino and UrbanLab Torino within the MAINCODE project. The activity introduces visitors to urban climate shelters and explores how public spaces can respond to extreme heat through interactive learning and play. Throughout the day, the MAINCODE stand welcomes a diverse audience, who actively participate in the game and learn about urban resilience, sustainability, climate adaptation, and practical solutions that help cities respond to increasing temperatures and extreme heat. The event offers an opportunity to engage the public in discussions on climate change and the future of more resilient urban spaces.
MAINCODE has been funded by the Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca (MUR), the Innovation Fund of Denmark (IFD), and General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI) under the Driving Urban Transitions Partnership which has been co-funded by the European Commission. MAINCODE runs from 2025 to 2027
