MAINCODE at the World Planning Schools Congress 2026

On 3 July 2026, MAINCODE takes part in the World Planning Schools Congress 2026 (WPSC 2026) in Helsinki with the presentation “Co-Producing the City? Children’s Agency and the University’s Role in Participatory Planning,” delivered by Francesca Bragaglia. The presentation explores how children can act as active knowledge producers in participatory planning and highlights the role of schools as strategic spaces for co-production, community engagement, and climate adaptation. The contribution showcases how children’s participation can generate planning-relevant spatial knowledge, how school spaces can act as entry points for co-production, and how these processes can support longer-term climate adaptation and more inclusive planning practices.
