Co-design workshops at the 4th Primary School of Halandri continue as part of the MAINCODE project. On the 18th of February, approximately 250 students from all grades participate in the workshop, where they are introduced to the climate shelters and to the principles of co-design. In the session, students share their ideas through drawings and online research, reflecting on their vision of an ideal schoolyard and the activities they enjoy during recess. Their proposals include sports activities, playground games, relaxation areas, and other creative elements. The workshops continue at the primary school as well as in the two kindergartens of the school unit.
MAINCODE has been funded by the Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca (MUR), the Innovation Fund of Denmark (IFD), and General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI) under the Driving Urban Transitions Partnership which has been co-funded by the European Commission. MAINCODE runs from 2025 to 2027
