On November 3rd, MAINCODE held the first workshop with selected schools in Halandri. Teachers and parent associations from three school units joined us to explore needs, challenges, and ideas for greener, more inclusive schoolyards. Through collaborative group work, participants discussed timelines, potential stakeholders, thematic activities, and creative proposals, from increasing green spaces and shade to educational programs on nature, heat resilience, and inclusion.
MAINCODE has been funded by the Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca (MUR), the Innovation Fund of Denmark (IFD), and General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI) under the Driving Urban Transitions Partnership which has been co-funded by the European Commission. MAINCODE runs from 2025 to 2027
